Jesus' call for people tolove God and their neighbor and to die to themselves is the answer to these moralproblems.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .25in;"&gt;People without a written languageneed one. Literacy is a key to help people work their way out of poverty andto resist oppression by others. Children who first learn to read in their ownlanguage are more likely to become literate and to stay in school than thosewho first learn in a different language.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .25in;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: .25in;"&gt;The Bible is a holy book forChristians of all stripes – Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant – and forMuslims. (Proverbs 19:17)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.&lt;br /&gt;(Luke 12:33-34)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on." (Luke 21:1-4)&lt;br /&gt;(This passage is a convicting reminder to me that, in God's eyes, the biggest donors are not those who give the most dollars but those who spend the least on themselves.
